Important Information for Parents

Important Dates to Remember:

February 11-29-Application period for year round schools. All applications are done online at www.wcpss.net. If you are the parent of a rising 5 th grader and are currently an applicant student in the year round program you need to apply in order to stay in the year round program in middle school. The placement does not automatically roll over.

March 1-20-Track Change Request forms available in Student Services. All requests must be in by March 20 th.

Mid-March-Growth Management informs parents of application results.

April 7 th-HMS informs parents of track change decisions

April 14-Last date to decline application seat

May 15-Schools distribute official assignment strips to students

May 15-June2-Transfer applications accepted online at wcpss.net. Please be mindful that if a transfer is accepted that transportation is not provided. Parents will be responsible for transportation to and from school.
