Welcome To The:Computer Skills Test Remediation PageAs a part of the 21st Century Schools initiative and the dedication of the State of North Carolina in preparing our students for 21st Century Skills, it is requird that students receiving a diploma from any North Carolina public high school must pass the state mandated Technology Skills Test. This test assesses a students knowledge of word processing skills, database management, spreadsheet utilization as well as familiarity with email, technology ethics and general tchnology/computer vocabulary. Many students may elect to take Career and Technical Education classes in middle school such as Keyboarding, Business Computer Technology I and Business Computer Technology II to enhance their knowledge of such subjects. Heritage Middle School provides this page to enable students enrolled in the CTE classes above as well as those in other electives improve their knowledge of computer related skills and information that will be found on the Computer Skills Test.
